Check out Red Bull drivers put the BMW i5 into a controlled slide

The BMW M channel on YouTube has posted a new teaser video starring the Red Bull Driftbrothers driving a couple of all-electric i5 saloons and putting them into e-drift mode. The point of the video is to demonstrate what the upcoming car is capable of on the track.
The vid is barely over two minutes long, but is filmed as if it were a short movie – complete with a twist ending. Watching recommended!
The automaker does not specify what kind of tech was involved, but we suppose both i5 were high-end driving machines. Rumor has it there will be a modification called the i5 M60 powered by the same motor system as the BMW iX rated at 600 PS (592 hp / 441 kW).
Part of the reason why the video is so exciting to watch is because it is accompanied by engine rumble – artificially synthesized, of course. That, and the drift stunts are nothing to sneeze at!
