Meet the Lamborghini Revuelto, your new and better Aventador

The Italian supercar maker has officially introduced the Lamborghini Revuelto, the ideological successor of the much-acclaimed Aventador. The car has 1,015 PS (1,001 hp / 747 kW) at its disposal, but the pricing remains unknown at this point.
A closer inspection of the Revuelto reveals numerous Y-shapes all around: check out the air intakes, the lights, the wheels and the interior trim. On the whole, the design is not far off from that of the Aventador. The company claims the downforce has improved substantially, though.
The Revuelto comes built on an innovative supercar architecture heavily relying on carbon fiber. Despite this circumstance, the car actually weighs a whopping 220 kilograms (485 pounds) more than its predecessor did. The reason lies in the powertrain, which incorporates a 6.5-liter V12 and a trio of electric motors mounted two at the front axle and one at the rear. Thus, all four wheels are driven in an electric AWD setup. The total output amounts to 1,015 PS (1,001 hp / 747 kW), taking the Revuelto 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 2.5 seconds. The top speed is 349 km/h, or 217 mph.
Interior novelty boils down to a third added screen (the front passenger’s display), which is 9.1 inches large and can be used to access navigation software, climate control settings and multimedia content. For the fit-and-finish, customers will be able to choose from around 70 available trim options, including recycled materials.
