3rd-gen Subaru Crosstrek headed for Chicago Auto Show on Feb. 9
The third generation of the Subaru XV/Crosstrek is already on sale in Japan, but the North America will be receiving it as a 2024MY compact SUV. The production car will be present at the Chicago Auto Show starting on February 9.
You may take a look at the JDM version of the car in the gallery and video below, and everything suggests that the U.S. version will look very similar. The overall design hasn’t changed much from the previous iteration except for a more pronounced rugged body kit, larger wheel arches and front grille, and updated lighting all around.
Inside, an 11.6-inch infotainment display is the main addition. Plenty of hardware buttons remain available for those who would prefer controlling audio, HVAC and other settings without touching any screens.
The teaser photo of the U.S. Crosstrek has a badge saying ‘Sport’. There is no such trim level on sale in Japan right now, leaving us guessing what it might be like. Another mystery is whether the model will be available in North America with its e-Boxer hybrid powertrain: the corresponding badge is conspicuously missing from the image.
