Meet the SAIC Maxus V70, a diesel van totally not ripping off VW ID. Buzz

Maxus, a car marque from the SAIC Group, has unveiled a new production van named the V70, Yiche reports along with listing some parameters. If you just caught some strong Volkswagen ID. Buzz vibes, you are not alone.
Aside from looking like a total rip-off, the car has little in common with its electric source of inspiration. It features slim headlights, a shoulder line rising towards the rear end, and five doors – two normal ones, one sliding door at the left and a pair of swinging doors in the back. The dimensions (L/W/H) are 4,998 x 2,030 x 2,035 mm with three meters of wheelbase. That’s roughly 195 x 80 x 80 inches with 117 inches between the axles.
Customers in China will be able to grab the V70 in early 2023 with a 2.0-liter diesel engine rated at 126 PS (124 hp / 93 kW). The transmission can be manual or nine-speed automatic, but going electric is simply not an option. The drive is on the front axle, and the top speed amounts to 156 km/h (97 mph).
