Land Rover Defender 130 bows with specs and pricing
The first prototype of the three-row Land Rover Defender hit the test track in the summer of 2021, and has now debuted with a range of electrified powertrains to choose from and enough room inside for up to eight people. Prices in the UK start from £73,000.
The SUV is around 350 mm (14 inches) longer than its predecessor, which translates into more legroom for the third row. The default seat formula is now 2+3+3, but the trunk is actually larger than in the previous generation, reaching 2,291 liters (80.9 cubic feet) with two seat rows folded. In its upmarket five-seat configuration, the vehicle still commands 1,232 liters (43.5 cubic feet) of trunk space.
The automaker claims the rear bench can provide comfort accommodation for three adults, each with access to their own ventilation. A 10.25-inch infotainment display and an 11.4-inch digital dashboard come standard.
Customers in Europe can choose from multiple mild hybrid configurations ranging from 295 to 395 PS (291 – 390 hp; 217 – 290 kW). The usual ZF eight-speed automatic fulfills the role of the transmission in all versions.
