BMW M4 CSL flashes its aggressive front end
The BMW M division will be revealing the third CSL model in its history later this week, and has posted this blurry teaser image to keep us excited.
Like the other two CSLs, this one will come to the market wearing a revised aerodynamic kit notably including a ducktail spoiler. Rumor has it the car will weigh 100 kg (220 lbs) less thanks to a removed rear bench and the use of lightweight materials all around.
As for the engine power, reports have been trickling in that the new M4 CSL will offer around 560 PS (552 hp / 412 kW). Do note that this is not yet official, so you might want to wait until the official reveal scheduled for this week. Manual will likely not be an option, as BMW only installs automatic transmissions on modern high-performance cars.
The CSL name emerged in 1972 with the introduction of the 3.0 CSL. The sports car managed to incorporate the best racing technologies you could find in a street-legal vehicle and became a legend soon. The badge made its comeback once when the BMW E46 M3 CSL came out in 2003.
