Concept8 tailors a new outfit for the C8 Corvette

Chevrolet switching the eighth-gen Corvette to a mid-engine layout had some purists complaining about the dwindling trunk volume and offbeat exterior styling. But the sale stayed high, and with the latest styling package by Concept8, the exterior can be modified to taste.
Flared fenders add 40 mm (1.6”) to the width of the car, while a carbon fiber body kit makes it around 20 kg (45 lbs) lighter than stock. 20-inch Forgeline/Dymag CF203 wheels with spoke pairs finished in grey fill out the arches, and the suspension benefits from adjustable sway bars. The exhaust system flaunts a titanium coating claimed to improve its thermal resistance.
Modifications under the hood are scarce, but present. A new air filter and a manifold let the tuned ‘Vette produce an additional 18 PS and 45 Nm of torque for a total of 515 PS (508 hp / 380 kW) and 682 Nm (503 lb-ft). Dynamic performance remains to be measured as the car is still a work in progress. Once finished, it will be offered for sale.
