Skyler Grey’s hand-painted Aventador is a contemporary pop artwork
The resplendent vehicle you can see here is a result of cooperation between Lamborghini and Skyler Grey, 19, from Los-Angeles.
The luxury carmaker contracted Skyler – the world’s youngest artist whose works have been exhibited in the largest international art museums – to design a custom livery for a Lamborghini Aventador S. The supercar then arrived at the 2019 Monterey Car Week.
Skyler went for his signature style: a combination of American pop culture and fashion icons. He drew such classical U.S. mascots as Mickey Mouse, Olive Oil and Popeye the Sailor next to Louis Vuitton, Hermes and Chanel logos.
This Lamborghini Aventador S packs 740 horsepower (552 kilowatts) under the hood and is Skyler Grey’s latest creation to date. ‘The Fresh Prince of Street Art’ – this is what others call the young artist in his own circles – painted the opulent ride in dark orange, yellow and white, and adorned the sides will Lambo’s trademark bull logos.
An interesting touch comes in the form of Campbell’s Soup Cans with the Lamborghini emblems replacing the original Campbell’s logos.
